Kane X. Faucher (BA, MA, Ph.D) (1977- ) was born in Ottawa, Canada. He divides his practice between literary and academic writing. His eclectic and wide-ranging approach that merges theoretical and literary exploration has earned him a solid reputation as a "scholartist", with work appearing internationally.

He has a doctorate in Theory and Criticism, as well as two degrees in philosophy. He has published over 1000 pieces in several journals, magazines, anthologies, and books. He currently lives and works in London, Canada with his wife and their three gifted cats.

Both his literary and academic practice focuses on the effects of metastasis and flux. He is currently exploring the possibility of Nietzschean semiosis, decomposition poetics, metaphysics of metastasis, and rhizomedia. These cardinal points are reflected in his commitment to an pluridisciplinary approach as an open method for understanding the phenomena of fluctuation and difference from a variety of perspectives.
