I'm a geek - ask anyone. My interests are informed by lifelong passions for nature, geology, paleontology, numismatics, astronomy, entomology, you name it. I can be fascinated watching the habits of ants as easily as I can be amazed by new studies into distant quasars, minting practices in the 1700s, fonts and bookbinding in the 1600s, glacial retreat patterns still evident on our landscape, calcareous shales, edible plants growing in the wild, sustainable farming, municipal services delivery models, etymology, anything to do with history from any period or part of the world, and the list goes on and on. I will never be bored with the world, even if sometimes human beings can tend to be repetitive or disappointing at times. If one has curiousity, there is never an excuse for boredom. Boredom is the sign of a weak and lazy mind, and a life that refuses to take inspiration and interest in all there is to know.
And I also collect stuff like books, coins, and fossils. Click on the boxes below to be taken to my pages dedicated to these passions. This site is still a work in progress, so only the fossils links is active at the moment.

This site is laid out episodically as I hunt about for fossils.
A site on coins is forthcoming... <--I put that up over a year ago and still haven't got to it. Don't know if I will as I do feel a bit weird posting my coin collection up in public. :/
